The community of Aspermont is mourning the loss of Riley Branch, respected attorney and founder of Riley Branch Law, PLLC, whose passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of family, friends, clients, and colleagues.
Riley was more than a legal professional — he was a pillar of the community. Known for his integrity, compassion, and unwavering willingness to help, he consistently showed up for those in need. The team at Stonewall County Senior Citizens shared heartfelt condolences, noting how quick he was to assist the center whenever called upon. His generosity and readiness to serve will long be remembered.
Friends and colleagues describe Riley as “pure joy.” Professionally, he challenged others to grow, think deeper, and strive for excellence. He was a mentor who helped shape better leaders, facilitators, and storytellers. His influence extended far beyond the courtroom — he left a lasting imprint on the personal and professional lives of many.
Even after friends moved away from Texas, Riley maintained meaningful connections through thoughtful phone calls, lighthearted voicemails, and steady friendship. Those closest to him say they will forever cherish the laughter, the conversations, and the encouragement he so freely gave.
Riley also had a deep-rooted commitment to the agriculture industry and to developing future leaders. Supporting youth and agricultural education was close to his heart. In honor of his passion and legacy, donations may be made to the Riley Branch Memorial FFA Scholarship, continuing his mission of investing in the next generation.
A meal for the family will be served on Thursday, February 26th at 12:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Community members wishing to contribute food are asked to have items ready by 11:45 a.m. to accommodate approximately 40 family members.
Aspermont and the greater Stonewall County community grieve together, united in gratitude for a life that made a profound difference. Riley Branch will be remembered for his servant’s heart, his joyful spirit, and his steadfast dedication to both his profession and his people.
