The three-family home was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived around 9:50 a.m., responding to a scene of chaos and danger that left eight residents displaced and two neighboring homes damaged.

According to Fire Chief Steven Lavigne, Lucitha initially escaped the burning building but immediately returned upon realizing her daughter was still inside.
