The community of Bainbridge is grieving the loss of Firefighter/Paramedic Darrell Rose, a dedicated public servant whose passing has left his department, family, and friends heartbroken.
Darrell proudly served with the Bainbridge Fire Department since 2005. In 2017, he became a charter full-time member, further deepening his commitment to protecting and serving the community he cared so much about. Over the years, he answered countless calls — responding in moments of crisis with courage, professionalism, and compassion.
Fellow firefighters describe Darrell as dependable, hardworking, and always willing to step up when needed. Whether responding to emergencies, training alongside his crew, or mentoring newer members of the department, he carried himself with integrity and pride. His presence at the station was more than that of a colleague — he was family.
Beyond his service to the community, Darrell’s greatest joy was his two children. He loved them deeply and spoke of them often. Those closest to him knew that everything he did — every long shift, every late-night call — was driven by his love and dedication to providing for and protecting his family.
