The incident occurred just before 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, when a vehicle driven by 70-year-old Richard Moyen of Strong collided with another vehicle operated by 57-year-old Kenneth Hughes of Waterville. The impact caused Hughes’ car to veer into a parked vehicle at one of the gas pumps, tragically striking Michelle while she was pumping gas. Emergency responders pronounced her deceased at the scene.
