It is with heavy hearts that family, friends, and coworkers mourn the passing of Scott Ross of Eldersburg, Maryland. His sudden departure has left a profound void in the lives of all who knew him — a reminder of how fragile life can be and how deeply one life can touch many others.
Scott was more than a colleague; he was a friend, a mentor, and a guiding presence for both students and coworkers. His dedication and care were evident in everything he did — from easing the stress of starting new tasks with coworkers to keeping students engaged, safe, and inspired during recess and throughout the school day. He was known for his patience, his humor, and his ability to make even the busiest days brighter.
Outside of his professional life, Scott’s passion for sports brought joy and camaraderie to those around him. Conversations about baseball, basketball, football, and other shared interests were moments of connection that many will treasure. His generosity in sharing knowledge, advice, and laughter created bonds that will endure far beyond his time with us.
Scott was deeply committed to his family, friends, and community. He is survived by his mother, Lainey Ross; his sister, Kimberly Clark Emery; and his cousin, Deborah Sullivan. Their loss is immeasurable, but so too is the love and legacy Scott leaves behind.
