The community of Listowel is mourning the loss of Katrina Marie Klemp, a cherished resident whose vibrant spirit and unwavering strength inspired all who knew her. Katrina passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, on Monday, February 23, 2026, at the age of 43, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Though cancer claimed her far too soon, it never diminished the remarkable spirit that defined Katrina’s life. Even in facing the most challenging circumstances, she met each day with extraordinary grace, courage, humor, and quiet strength. She taught everyone around her the true meaning of living life fully and cherishing every precious moment.
Katrina shared a beautiful life with her loving and devoted partner, Justin Weishar, together building a family filled with laughter, adventure, and deep connection. Their greatest joy was their cherished daughter, Parker, to whom Katrina was an extraordinary and adoring mother. The life they created together represented the kind of deep love and partnership that many hope for but few are fortunate enough to experience so completely.
Born and raised in Listowel, Katrina was the beloved daughter of Keith and Heather Klemp. She was also a dear daughter-in-law to Joe and Brenda Weishar. Her siblings held a special place in her heart as her closest friends and biggest supporters. She shared an especially close bond with Jenn and Gary Martin of Elmira, Jeff and Carrie Klemp of Teviotdale, and her sister-in-law Erin and Jon Soltys of Listowel. Katrina took great pride in her role as aunt to her seven beloved nieces and nephews: Kinsley, Porter, Madeline, Elizabeth, Connor, Claire, and Natalie.
Beyond her family, Katrina was a pillar in her community. As a dedicated teacher and passionate coach, she poured her energy into the lives of her students and athletes, offering encouragement, positivity, and steady guidance. Her colleagues, teammates, and friends respected and deeply loved her for her quick wit, infectious laughter, and the genuine way she made everyone feel valued. The impact she made on countless lives will endure for generations.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to Katrina’s medical team, particularly Adriana Muis and Dr. Barb Matthews, whose dedicated and compassionate care provided comfort to Katrina and all who stood beside her throughout her journey.
Katrina will be profoundly missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, strength, and community service will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.
A private family funeral service will be held. Friends and community members are invited to share stories and memories during a Celebration of Life on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Listowel Golf Club. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Listowel.
